About
About me. I am fascinated by the “food as medicine” space and believe it is at an inflection point. About 10 years ago, I was on a multi-year consulting project working on improving the store experience of a mega retailer. Every day I watched customers and employees buy and eat ultra processed foods, often grocery shopping late at night with young kids in tow. Since then, I explored my own ideas about how a fully prepared fresh food solution could help and began closely following how the players in the food system are talking about the future. Lately, I see more consideration for food’s impact on health outcomes and healthcare costs. Retail, CPG, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Agriculture, and Chemicals companies are beginning to participate in conversations. I will continue following this market and share the research insights, programs, and solutions as they emerge.
About WISEcode. I joined the founding team at WISEcode in January of 2021 because this market needs a “direct line data” link between nutrition consumption (on a personal and at a population level) to health outcomes and healthcare costs. With the data to track these pathways we will elevate the conversation within science, industry, consumers, and policy communities. At WISEcode, we are building a database of food information to contribute to this evolution.
These opinions are my own and do not represent those of WISEcode.
